The Hare & The Tortoise
One day a hare was making fun of a Tortoise for being so slow.

“Do you ever get anywhere?” he asked as he mocked the tortoise.
“Yes,” replied the Tortoise, “and I get there sooner than you think. You want to race? I’ll prove it to you.”
The Hare couldn’t stop laughing because to him the idea was hilarious but, for the fun of it, he accepted the challenge.
So, the Fox, who agreed to act as judge, marked the distance and started the runners off.
The Hare was soon far out of sight, and to make clear to the Tortoise how ridiculous it was for him to try to race with a Hare, he lay down beside the course to take a nap until the Tortoise could catch up.
Meanwhile the Tortoise kept going, slowly but steadily, and, after a while, passed the place where the Hare was sleeping.
But the Hare slept on very peacefully, and when at last he did wake up, the Tortoise was near the finish line.

The Hare now ran as fast as he could but he wasn’t able overtake the Tortoise in time.
What do we learn?
1. Slow and steady wins the race.
2. The swift do not always win the race.
